Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music under the name Harry Styles, is a British musician and singer known as one of the musicians of the band One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England the 1st of February 1994, he's the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where he formed his own band, composed of three of his classmates. The band was called the White Eskimo. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing performances. The musician always had an interest in music but always wanted to become the next lawyer or physical therapist. He worked for a time part-time in a bakery located in his hometown and hoped to assist people financially in the home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. The reason for this is that his group broke up. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles would be part of the group that was to be known as One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group were singing songs like My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group became one of the candidates to win the competition. The group was however placed third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't place, however Cowell did pay 2 millions of pounds One Direction for them to sign a deal with Syco.
