Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer was one of the first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. Her father was an early interest in the theater. While in school at Emory University in 1952 he performed in shows on campus as well as in other parts of Atlanta. After joining the airforce, in 1953 he appeared in an air force production in Biloxi along with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in 1955. Their child, Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957 they left the airforce and Walter started his education at Tulane. The family relocated in 1960 to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working for Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou began producing a television show for children in Decatur, Georgia called Bum Bum and His Buddies. The production was funded by the couple their own. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for six years. Lelisa Billingsley who is also referred to as Lisa, was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
