Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actor, and appeared in a variety of European as well as American films. Most famously, she is known for her part in the comedy-drama film "La Dolce Via". The film was both a critical and commercial success, as having won an Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. Before she began her career in acting her Swedish birthplace, she was working as a fashion model for international magazines. The model was the winner of the Miss Sweden competition. After that, she was transferred to the US in the year 2000, where she began to appear in multiple movies playing minor role. She played the Venusian Guard in the movie 'Abbott and Costello's Go To Mars.' This was her debut credit part. After appearing in 'Blood Alley and 'Blood Alley,' she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising newcomer.' Her films included numerous productions, including the American/Italian War drama War and Peace, the Western 'Valerie,' the British crime thriller The Man Inside and the The French/Italian Drama The Dam on the Yellow River.'
