Rodarius Marcell green[2] born August 27, 1998. He is popularly known as Rod Wave and a singer. His distinctive voice and integration of hip-hop and R&B is what led him to be a pioneer in soul-trap. The song from his album "Heart on Ice" became viral on YouTube, TikTok, and hit the top 25 of the Hot 100 of Billboard. Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel (2019) peaked at number 10 in the US Billboard 200. [8] His second album Pray 4 Love (2020) peaked at the top of the Billboard 200 at number 2,[9]. The album featured the hit song "Rags2Riches", which reached 12th on the Hot 100. The third album, SoulFly (2021), came out at number one on the Billboard 200 (marking his first album to chart tops). The Wave's career began in the year 2016 with the release of his mixtape Hunger Games Vol.1. Before joining Alamo Records, he released various mixtapes of his own. The mixtape PTSD was released on June 14 2019. It featured the track "Heart on Ice". The song went viral through YouTube and TikTok it reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. The debut album of Wave Ghetto Gospel was released on November 1, 2019. It ranked 10 on the US Billboard 200. Rod Wave's second album Pray 4 Love was released April 3, 2020. It was released at the 2nd spot on the Billboard 200. A deluxe edition followed on the 7th of August. The majority of songs from the album charted on the Billboard Hot 100. "S" (featuring ATR son Son) reached number 12 on the Hot 100. It became the top-charting track of the album. 14. On August 11 on the 11th of August in 2020, Wave was included on XXL's 2020 Freshman Class. Wave spoke out in July of 2020 to announce that he was still making his third album. The album was originally scheduled for August 27, 2020. The singer revealed the track list of the album SoulFly in an interview on March 6, 2021. He also included songs "Street Runner" and "Tombstone" which was his top-charting track, peaking at number 11 on the Hot 100.
